A piercing is one of the easiest things to add to a Bali trip. It is quick to book, and the jewelry is already included in the price. The part worth thinking about is timing.
Here is how to plan one around your stay, from our piercing studio in Uluwatu.
Decide on the look first
Start with the look you want. A single lobe, a curated ear, a nostril or something bolder: each suits a different style and a different budget.
Save a few photos of piercings you like and bring them in. It makes the conversation with your piercer much quicker.
What it costs
Prices start at IDR 500K for a standard or upper lobe. Most ear cartilage piercings sit between IDR 600K and IDR 800K, lip and nose piercings between IDR 600K and IDR 700K, and body piercings start at IDR 650K.

Fit it around your plans
Bali trips tend to involve a lot of sea, sun and surf. When you book, tell us what the rest of your trip looks like so your piercer can advise you on timing for your piercing.
If you have a lot of water days planned, it can make sense to leave the piercing until later in your stay.
Walk in or book ahead
Walk-ins are welcome whenever a piercer is free. In peak season, booking ahead is the safer bet.

Aftercare: follow your piercer’s advice
Aftercare depends on the piercing and on the person, so there is no single routine that suits everyone. Follow the advice your piercer gives you for your piercing.

How much does an ear piercing cost?
From IDR 500K for a standard lobe. Cartilage piercings like the helix, conch and daith range from IDR 600K to IDR 700K, and an industrial is IDR 800K.
Do I need an appointment?
No. Walk in whenever a piercer is free. Booking ahead is recommended in peak season.
